TALK TO ME!!!Friday, 6 June 2008 Ben's finally back to blog again.. gonna be another boring post... =.=!!! gonna blog about what i've been up to this whole week in the kitchen in sch.. LOL... Tues, i had 2 students.. they are high sch students.. They are so interesting lah.. hahahahaha.. well, at least they love my class =) Wednesday was as usual.. MEAT SKILLS class with chef Fielding.. This time we did forequarter of a lamb.. it's HUGE!!! i've got a really crappy piece... it's already old.. Didn't really like the process of cutting it.. it was like freaking 4 hours long to get it all done.. Really disgusting especially if u dont eat lamb.. bcoz it has this smelly smell.. =( Ok.. let the pics do the talking Ok.. first up is the forequarter of the lamb.. the inside view of it.. And this is the front view that we all usually see in goats.. can see the shape already??? HUGE eh.. hahaha.. I forgotten what's this called.. but its the ribs of the lamb.. this was the most tideous part of everything.. The main forequarter.. consist of the shin, shanks and shoulder.. hahahahaha... me just trying to be lame.. my baseball bat.. LOL.. or my golf-ing club?.. =X Finally, after 4 long hours.. every part is finally separated.. =) Look at the leg of the lamb.. hahaha.. looks like a pistol or a hand gun eh.. hahaha.. nice =)![]() Me posing with my "gun".. hahaha.. from the pics, like can tell i'm fatter eh??.. time to lose weight.. Tim with 2!!!! WOAH.. i bet he used henry's.. =.=!!! At the end of the day.. One of the 2 dishes we've made.. lamb shanks =) nice mah??? to my surprise, i ate it and really loved it =)Ended going home that day smelling like a dead lamb.. ewww smelly.. _______________________________ Thursday had salads and appetizers with chef peter dodd.. made a few things but what really amazed me was the salad i've designed and i ate a meat for the 1st time.. show u later.. ![]() Ok.. here's the salad that i've made.. does it look good???.. i love the mushrooms with the mozzeralla on top.. oohhhhh.. yum "slurp"

And here we have the meat that i was talking about.. can guess what is it??.. clue is, this animal has alot of muscles and it's a big animal we are talking about.. any guesses??
Don't they look good.. they tasted really yummy.. it's best if eaten medium rare.. but i love it medium well.. hahaha..
The answer is Kangaroo meat.. hahahaha.. it seems weird that australia sells kangaroo meat.. eating their own national icon.. it's like imagine singaporeans eating lion?.. Malaysians eating tigers and americans eating eagles.. LOL.. weird eh.. =.=" _____________________________________ Onto friday's class.. haha.. Large scale kitchen with Jean Mahe.. hahaha.. my favourite.. My multi layer fruity pudding looks horrible.. all bcoz chef did not put the gelatine in.. so it can't really set.. =.= and he blames me for it =( bad eh.. hahaha.. but in the end, it ended up with a beautiful abstract.. hahaha.. phew.. thank God i turn things round just in time.. =) didnt take a pic of all the desserts i've made.. i was too busy man.. hehehe.

I was so busy yesterday even though after the desserts has been all done from making.. Gotta prepare nxt weeks dessert already.. One of them will be chocolate truffles.. lovely eh.. hahaha.. i'm a master in making this i feel.. hahaha.. looks lovely eh.. Surely it's a lady killer =)
