TALK TO ME!!!Saturday, 2 August 2008 The past week was really tideous.. It's so full of frustration.. It has been a week of pain emotionally and physically and mentally as well.. I'm so extremely drained from all my activities.. In weekdays, it's always school to work, work to school.. No life at all.. And u know what??.. i may be "working" for over 60 hours a week.. But u know what??.. I NEVER complained before.. I always remember this.. I always remember having juniors and friends sharing with me about their life.. What they do is only going to school, study, go home and do homework.. and they complain how sucky their life is already.. And how tired they are everyday after just 6 hours of school.. But i notice that this is a common trend that's happening nowadays.. not just towards here in australia, But in singapore as well.. A thought came to me.. What if they were to work and study at the same time??.. Like me and my classmates here.. How would they acutally feel??.. It doesnt feel good at all.. It's indeed really tiring.. But to support oneself and having the passion to study at the same time is indeed tiring.. EXTREMELY.. Like i said, i'm down 60 hours a week.. And school that i go thru, for ur info, it's not like poly.. or JC.. It's studying and working and learning from experience.. I don't sit in lecture halls.. I stand all day, cook, serve customers and make drinks for them.. That's what i do.. To me, i treat it as experience... Bcoz nxt time, in the industry, i might have to work more than 90 hours a week.. Really taxing.. But getting the experience now is good.. Weekends are always the same.. Badminton den housework the nxt whole day.. Or vice versa.. Worst come to worst.. Homework and prepare for school.. This semester, i have to deal with this bloody stupid module.. It's in making pastries, cakes and yeast goods.. It's no good at all.. For hands like mine.. Which will melt the pastries or the fat once i touch it.. and it really sucks.. Like during ystd.. I gotta re-do my dough twice.. Bcoz i can't feel the heat.. and my hands are too hot.. It was really frustrating.. And working with Chef Cheryl was rather stressful as well.. It's already a slow and painful process while watching her doing the demostration.. And i still gotta redo my things.. Or take so long to do.. IT'S SLOW AND PAINFUL PROCESS.. BUAY TAHAN AH!!!.. But one thing knocked into my head lately.. it's about making pastries.. I do love to make them a lot.. And although i may be at an disadvantage.. I won't let my passion die for it.. I always say.. Making pastries and cakes is a form of art.. The process is slow, painful and tideous.. but the end result is indeed really heart warming.. Well, gonna post some pics of my work.. Enjoy it bah.. The famous mocha that i make.. my classmates love it.. see distinctively how many layers are ther altogether in each cup.. hehe.. it taste good also.. no sugar needed.. bcoz of the chocolate syrup.. =)
A cocktail that i made in class.. It's called a strawberries and cream.. good stuff.. it's similar to a banshee.. hehe..
A Fruit tart that i baked last friday.. it took 5 hours to make it.. =.=" almost died from making it.. tks to my hot hands.. but too bad, it broke on my way back =( wanted to give it to cynthia as it was her birthday.. but too bad.. it broke.. =(
Me kissing the salmon.. hahaha.. it's really good stuff.. hehe...
A peek into the salmon.. it's really fresh.. even when i sneak a few pieces of it to the LSK to sumie and michiko, who are japanese.. they both told me it's good sushi =)
Tea flavoured salmon.. really good stuff.. hahaha.. it's extremely
And last and not least.. a pic of BJ, taking a pic of him taking a pic of me.. LOL.. he's my best australian buddy.. hehe.. of course, he's only a year younger than me.. of course we click.. hehe.. he may be young.. but he's a good chef =) Ok lah.. blog till here.. hehe.. take care peeps.. =) Labels: tafe |
